| Elisabeth Ehmann I grew up in Vermont and developed a serious love for art when my parents began taking me to art museums such as the Clark Museum in Williams Town, MA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY. I entered the New Masters program at the age of fourteen and quickly moved through as much of the program as was then available for correspondence students. After graduating at the age of seventeen, I began studying with Linda Stanton Patrick in Glens Falls, NY and then later on with Gil Perry in Springfield, VT. At present, I am finishing my bachelors with a religion major from Liberty University and hoping to study painting and drawing with Jacob Collins this coming spring (jacobcollinspaintings.com) and attend the Florence Academy of Art next fall (florenceacademyofart.com). I attribute a large part of my present success to my first teacher, John Gordon and his New Masters program. It was John, who first told me that I had talent and provided me with an exceptional technical foundation. |
